Melanie Benson, 13 year-old daughter of the accused, convinces Perry Mason to take on the case to defend her father who is accused of a revenge murder of a high-profile individual in Las Vegas. Melanie is determined to assist with the detective work that she believes is necessary for the proper defense of her father all the while trampling underfoot.
